Expanding Doula Training in Western Kenya
Safari Yangu International and Sweet Bee Organization are proud to announce their partnership with Arise and Shine Care Center and Mama Toto Organization to expand the training of doulas in the western parts of Kenya. This initiative aims to enhance maternal and child health by providing comprehensive support to mothers throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum periods.
Today, a dedicated team from Arise and Shine Care Center and Mama Toto Organization visited Nyabondo Mission and Mawega National Polytechnic in Homabay County. The purpose of their visit was to raise awarenesss and sensitize the community about the doula program. This program is designed to train individuals to become skilled doulas, offering emotional, physical, and informational support to mothers and their families.
By expanding doula training, these organizations aim to improve maternal health outcomes, reduce complications during childbirth, and promote the well-being of both mothers and babies. This collaborative effort reflects a shared commitment to empowering communities with the knowledge and resources needed for better health and care.
We look forward to seeing the positive impact this program will have on the lives of many families in Western Kenya. Together, we are building a healthier future for all.
